Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Passed BCA / B.Sc. (Computer Science) / B.Sc. (Information Technology) / B. Voc. (Software Development) or equivalent. OR
    • Passed at least a 3-year Bachelor's Degree with Mathematics/Business Statistics/Operation Research or equivalent etc. at the 10+2 level or graduation level.
  • Minimum Marks: Obtained at least 50% aggregate marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
  • Mathematics Requirement: Mathematics must have been studied as a subject at the 10+2 level or at the graduation level.
  • Appearing Candidates: Final-year students are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the eligibility criteria at the time of admission/counselling.
  • Age Limit: Generally, there is no specific upper age limit for IPU CET MCA, but candidates should be at least 20 years of age.

Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Examination: Online (Computer-Based Test) or Offline (Pen and Paper-based, depending on the year). Please verify the latest official notification.
  • Type of Questions: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four options for each question.

Application Procedure

The IPU CET application process is typically online. Key steps include:

  2. Register as a new user by providing basic details (name, email ID, contact number).
  3. Log in using the generated application sequence number, user ID, and password.
  4. Fill out the detailed application form with personal, academic, and contact information.
  5. Upload scanned copies of a recent passport-size photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression as per specifications.
  6. Pay the application fee online (approx. INR 1500) using debit card/credit card/net banking.

Admission to MCA programs at GGSIPU is primarily based on IPU CET scores.
