Eligibility for the First-Year Admission : • Candidates must be a citizen of India. • Aspirants should have passed 10+2 or graduation level with Mathematics as one of their main subjects. • Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria before they head towards the MAH MCA CET Application Process. • Candidates must have passed a bachelor degree (3 years) in any disciplines from any recognized university and should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate. • In case candidates belong to the backward category and PwD category to Maharashtra State only they must secure at least 45% aggregate. • If any aspirant is in the final year of qualifying examination then also they are eligible to apply for MAH MCA CET 2020 examination.
Eligibility for Lateral Entry Admission : • The eligibility criteria are same as the first-year admission except candidate must have passed a bachelor degree in computer application (BCA) or B.Sc. in (CS, IT) from any recognized university. • Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate bachelor degree in computer application (BCA) or B.Sc. in (CS, IT) from any recognized university and in case they belong to the backward category and PwD category to Maharashtra State only then they should have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.

Required Caste Certificate : If aspirants come under the given category then they must produce the caste certificate from the competent authority as mentioned below : • If candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT (NT (A)), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC and SBC categories they should submit “Caste Validity Certificate” issued by scrutiny committee of social welfare department. • If candidates belonging to ST category then they should produce “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by scrutiny committee of tribal department.
Disabilities come under the PWD category : • Visually Impaired : The visually impaired candidates are those candidates whose writing speed is adversely affected permanently for some reason can use their own scribe at their cost during the online examination.
• To prepare well for the MAH MCA CET examination, the candidate must know the syllabus properly. • Knowing the syllabus in advance helps an individual arrange important study materials to score well.
• This shall include the questions to measures how quickly and logically you can think. This section will cover logical situations and questions based on the facts given in the passage. This test shall check the problem-solving capability of the candidate.
• Questions in this section will be designed to test the candidate’s general understanding of the English language. There will be questions on the topics such as Basic English grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, synonyms, antonyms, sentence correction, word & phrases, jumbled.
• Computer Basics: Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Structure of instructions in CPU, input/ output devices, computer memory, memory organization, backup devices. • Data Representation: Representation of characters, integers, and fractions, binary and hexadecimal representations, Binary Arithmetic: Addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, signed arithmetic and two's complement arithmetic, floating point representation of numbers, normalized floating point representation, Boolean algebra, truth tables, Venn diagrams. • Computer Architecture: Block structure of computers, communication between the processor and I/ 0 devices, interrupts. • Computer Language: Assembly language and high-level language, Multiprogramming and time-sharing operating systems, Computer Programming in C. • Operating System basics: Multiprogramming and time sharing operating systems.
• Algebra: Fundamental operations in Algebra, Expansion, factorization, Quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, binomial theorem, permutations, and combinations. • Coordinate Geometry: Rectangular Cartesian coordinates, equations of a line, midpoint, intersections etc., equations of a circle, distance formulae, the pair of straight lines, parabola, ellipse and hyperbola, simple geometric transformations such as translation, rotation, scaling. • Differential Equations: Differential equations of first order and their solutions, linear differential equations with constant coefficients, homogenous linear differential equations. • Trigonometry: Simple identities, trigonometric equations, properties of triangles, the solution of triangles, height and distance, inverse function. • Probability and Statistics: Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and independent events, frequency distributions, and measures of dispersions, skewness and kurtosis, random variable and distribution functions, mathematical expectations, Binomial, Poisson, normal distributions, curve fitting, and the principle of least squares, correlation, and regression. • Arithmetic: Ratios and proportions, problems on time-work, distance-speed, percentage, etc. • Basic Set Theory and Functions: Set, relations, and mappings. • Mensuration: Areas, triangles, and quadrilaterals, area and circumference of circles, volumes and surface areas of simple solids such as cubes, spheres, cylinders, and cones. • Locomotors Disability: The candidates whose dominant (writing) extremity is affected to the extent of slowing the performance of the function(minimum of 40% impairment).

• Mode: MAH MCA CET 2020 will only be held in the online mode which will be a Computer Based Test. Candidates are required to mark answers on the computer screen. • Medium: The exam will be conducted in English only. • Exam Duration: Time allotted for the MAH MCA CET 2020 test is 90 minutes. • Types of Questions: Questions in the MAH MCA CET 2020 test will be Objective Type Multiple Choice questions. For every question, four options will be given out of which only one option will be correct. • Sections: MAH MCA CET 2020 will be conducted in four sections of 200 marks. The four sections of the exam are Logical / Abstract Reasoning, Computer Concepts, English Comprehensions and verbal ability and Mathematics & Statistics. • Marking Scheme: For every correct answer, 2 marks will be awarded. • Negative Marking: 0.5 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response.
