JNU MCA: Application Form, Syllabus, Exam Pattern

The Jawaharlal Nehru University will shortlist the candidates for JNU MCA 2020 admission on the basis of Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE). The application form is expected to be released in the month of September 2019 and the exam is expected to be held in December 2019. The candidates aspiring for the MCA admission in JNU need to fill and submit the application form before the last date.

JNU MCA Eligibility Criteria


The candidates looking to appear for the JNU MCA entrance exam should fulfill the eligibility criteria given below :

1. The aspiring candidate must possess any Bachelors degree under 10+2+3 pattern with adequate competence in Mathematics.
2. The candidate must have at least 55% marks in Graduation.

4. The application for JNU MCA 2020 will be available only in online mode through the official website of JNU. In order to access the application form, the candidates have to register themselves on the official website. After registration, the candidates have to enter all the necessary educational, personal and contact in the application form. After submitting the application form online, the candidates need to pay the prescribed application fee.
5. Please note that the candidates should check the eligibility criteria carefully before applying as the application fee once submitted will not be refunded. It is recommended that the candidates should take a printout of submitted application form for future reference.

9. For SC/ ST/ PWD & OBC candidates: Rs. 310/-.
10. For BPL candidates: Rs. 110/-.

12. JNU MCA Exam Pattern.
13. The candidates aspiring to appear for the JNU MCA 2020 entrance exam must check the exam pattern given below:
14. Mode of Exam: Offline
15. Number of Questions: 100.
16. Type of Questions: Objective Type MCQs.
17. Marking scheme: 1 Mark will be awarded for a correct answer.
18. Subjects: General aptitude, reasoning, mathematics and computer science.
19. JNU MCA Syllabus.
20. The syllabus of JNU MCA entrance exam will consist of questions from reasoning, general aptitude, 10+2 and graduation level computer science and mathematics. Important topics from each subject are as follows.
21. Mathematics: Vector Algebra, Differential and Integral Calculus, 2D-3-D Geometry, Trigonometry, Modern Algebra, Probability & Statistic, Numerical Analysis, Theory of Real Function, Real Analysis.
22. Computer Science: Programming (C), Digital Systems Design & Architecture, Data Structure, Discrete Mathematics, Operating Systems.
23. General Aptitude and reasoning: Number series, verbal classification, analogies, cause and effect, logical deduction, statement and arguments etc.
24. JNU MCA Result.
25. After the commencement of exam, the university will declare the result in online mode. The candidates need to visit the official website in order to check the result. In addition to the result, the university will publish the merit list of the selected candidates. It is expected that the merit list for the JNU MCA 2020 exam will be released in the month of March 2020. 26. JNU MCA Counselling.
27. After the declaration of result and release of merit list, the candidates have to register on the official website and fill the pre-allotment form. After filling the pre-allotment form, the candidates need to report at the university campus along with their original document for the verification purpose. The seats will be allotted depending upon the performance of candidates in the written exam and document verification.
